Social Networking on the Fly with GizaPage
By Eric Brown | May 12th, 2009 | Category: Social Networking and Marketing | 1 Comment »
Social networking is on the rise around the globe. And it’s no big secret the time that can be spent being virtually social. Matter of fact it seems to be one of the biggest arguments against social networking and marketing. It also seems to be one of the fastest growing niches for start-ups attempting to address the issue.
Much of this seems to be related to the disparate nature of social networking. People have to find you on Twitter, Facebook, Ning, MySpace and numerous others and then you have to find them to interact.
Today a new face enters the ring to tackle the time consumption and disparate nature of social networking. In the blue corner we have GizaPage. GizaPage (still in beta) aims at being a social network organizer.
According to folks at GizaPage, “GizaPage provides a secure and centralized way to share profiles while more deeply engaging online with others by exploring their profiles and identifying additional social networks they have in common.”

Features and Profiles on GizaPage
One of the overwhelmingly important features of GizaPage is your personal profile page that allows you to show all your social accounts side-by-side for the public to enjoy. The feature will be nice for the average user who is active on social accounts but also for job hunting purposes. Many marketing and freelance resumes include social account information to show various abilities and now it can all be done in one place.
More GizaPage Features
- Security – Set accessibility levels to control what is seen by whom.
- Connect – Connect with friends and build a network directly on GizaPage.
- More Friends – Upload email lists of contacts as well as social site contacts.
- Compare – Compare friends profiles side-by-side as well as your own.
- Cohesiveness – View all your social accounts side-by-side so you can easily create a cohesive brand look across them all.
The features and usability are pretty basic to understand. You create an account and a personal URL for your public GizaPage, import contacts from your social sites individually, pin your social accounts to your GizaPage and start letting people know about it.

Pinning is basically connecting to your various social accounts so that they can be viewed and interacted with on your page. There are over 40 social sites that you can add including the following:
- Digg
- Magnolia
- Furl
- Flickr
- FriendFeed
- Last.fm
- And many more
All of this provides businesses and individuals the ability to create a real persona across the board on their social networking sites. And that persona can be viewed in its entirety on one nicely laid out, tabbed web page.
