A backlink is simply another site linking back to your site in some fashion…not usually in the form of comment links.  A quality backlink is one that comes from another niche related site that contains keywords and information about your topics.

Not all quality backlinks are hard to pick up though.  And who better to get a link from than Google.

Recently, Daniel Scocco of Daily Blog Tips posted an article on how to get backlinks using Google Profiles.  This is a fantastic way to get a quick link.  But there is another way to get a quality backlink from Google.

If you are running a business and are in need of good backlinks, submit your business on Google’s local business center.  It will provide information about your company online as well as a good backlink to your site.
